So Long…For A While

The semester is over, and miraculously, I’ve made it through. This site has been a very unique, and frankly, overwhelming experience, but I enjoyed it. I’ve learned a lot about how much goes into being a journalist, and the amount of skills you’re expected to master. The good thing is, I’m just starting and have time to work on things.

I got to speak with some cool people as well. I got to learn what goes into being a music journalist and how many people are actually involved in Rowan’s music scene. Here are some of my favorite pieces:

TALKING PUNK AND MUSIC JOURNALISM WITH JERSEY BEAT CREATOR JIM TESTA

A Q & A WITH ROWAN’S OWN JACKSON ZABRANSKY, AKA, DENIM MOB

THRIVING IN YOUR LOCAL MUSIC SCENE AS A FAN, ARTIST, OR ORGANIZER

This semester, particularly the past couple months, has been especially turbulent, so finding the energy and time to post has been near impossible, which is frustrating. I plan on continuing the site in the future, but I need some time to recharge. I wanted to have an EP out by the end of the year as well, but my amp broke and I’ve been overwhelmed juggling work and school, so that just didn’t come to fruition either. I would love to pull a Justin Vernon, but that just wouldn’t be feasible, unfortunately. Sometime this month or next, I plan on having an article out about my favorite records of the decade. Then, I’m taking a little break, but I’ll be back. Follow my Twitter for updates.

I hope you all have a wonderful winter season. Happy Hanukkah, and Merry Christmas.
